Corusil V

This campaign is waged on the main continent of Corusil V, the planet Jaghatai Khan was once lost on pursuing Drukhari into the Webway. The map will consist of tiles of different biomes and effects. Coalitions can claim parts of the map, slowly expanding their territory. The different biomes will add special rules to battles, tweaking how the game is played on the tabletop, other special tiles, such as Space Ports and Bastions can be interacted with on the map for special effects.

Biomes

Bridge

When playing a battle on a Bridge tile, the following rule is in effect:

Ocean Below

These are no mere river-crossings. The bridges of Corusil V are constructed at an incredible scale. Wide enough to hold settlements and standing high above the tumultuous sea. As good a battlefield as any, and vital to control troop movements. The ocean has no mercy for careless soldiers that fall to the abyss below.

Running alongside the battlefield edges that don't belong to either player is a 6” area that represents open air above the ocean far below. Only models with the FLY keyword can be set up in or move into this area. If a model without the FLY keyword is set up in or moves into this area for any reason, it is immediately destroyed.

Desert

When playing a battle on a Desert tile, the following rule is in effect:

Harsh Exposure

The sun has claimed dominion of this land, and glares at those who trespass. The sands are loyal subjects and refuse its foes too. The only means of survival, is what little shelter remains.

Worsen the Leadership characteristic of models in INFANTRY units by 2 whilst their unit is not wholly on or in a terrain feature.

Infested

When playing a battle on an Infested tile, the following rule is in effect:

Hive-Tainted Ground

This battlefield has been transformed and made into a part of the Tyranid Organism. The sight is unnerving to behold.

Subtract 2 from Battle-Shocked tests made for units without the TYRANIDS or GENESTEALER CULTS faction keywords.

Mountain

When playing a battle on a Mountain tile, the following rule is in effect:

Unstable Ground

Thread carefully. The ground is unstable. A single shock could sweep allies off a cliff or topple rocky doom upon your foe.

If a VEHICLE or MONSTER model with the Deadly Demise ability is destroyed and rolled a 6 on its Deadly Demise check, the ground becomes unstable. After resolving the effects of Deadly Demise, roll one die for each unit that does not have the FLY keyword that is in the same table quarter as the destroyed VEHICLE or MONSTER model. Add 2 to the result if the destroyed model was TITANIC. On a 5+ that unit suffers D6 mortal wounds as warriors tumble to their deaths or are crushed by falling rocks.

Steppe

When playing a battle on a Steppe tile, the following rule is in effect:

Fields of Gallop

Be at ease, mounted one. The steppes offer liberation from the shackles of dense ruins. Freedom awaits those who seek to ride with the wind.

Units with the MOUNTED keyword that are not within any Building or Ruins terrain features at the start of the Movement phase can add 4” to their Move characteristics until the end of the phase.

Tundra

When playing on a Tundra tile, the following rule is in effect:

Extreme Cold

The biting cold and icy wind welcomes those who threads on the permafrost. Take it slow, it says. Lie down. Please, rest here forever more.

Worsen the Move characteristic of models in INFANTRY units by 2.

Volcano

When playing a battle on a Volcano tile, the following rule is in effect:

Mountain Forge

The wrath of the planet's core bleeds forth here. Metal becomes clay at its caress. To be moulded into masterwork. Or to be bludgeoned into a shapeless mass.

Worsen the Move characteristics of models in VEHICLE and MOUNTED units by 2.

When a model in a VEHICLE or MOUNTED unit regains a lost wound, it regains an additional wound.

Special Tiles

Ocean

Stand back. You've braved the currents of the warp to reach the grounds of Corusil V, but don't think there's any shortcut across its sea. Its waves are somehow more sinister.

Marching Tokens cannot move onto an Ocean. Such tiles must instead be moved around or crossed with Bridge Tiles. Ocean tiles can only be claimed if they have bridges on them.

Space Port

War rages in the sky too, and any attempt at landing is swiftly intercepted. Only the void-shields and anti-air gun platforms of a space port can provide a safe landing.

A Marching Token can use the Interact action to use a Space Port tile. That Marching Token is immediately moved to another Space Port tile of the player's choice.

The Drop Assault mission is used for battles fought on this tile unless both players agree to play another mission.

Bastion

Towering walls and defence installations have been raised to halt your advances. Some commanders would say it's wise to go around. Powerful commanders will turn such structures against the enemy.

When resolving Conflicts by Roll Off, the side defending a Bastion tile that they have claimed gain a +3 modifier to the roll.

The Siegecraft mission is used for battles fought on this tile unless both players agree to play another mission. If you do, do not set up objective markers on the battlefield.

Manufactorum

Forges, foundries, factories. This planet is too contested to maintain steady supply lines, if such things were ever possible. Instead, commanders must source their equipment locally.

The first time a Manufactorum tile is claimed by any Coalition, the Coalition claiming it can nominate one of their players to immediately use the Rearm and Resupply, or Repair and Recuperate requisition. If they do, the cost of the requisition is reduced by 1.

Power Station

Without fuel and power, tank treads halt, skimmers drop, voxes go quiet, shields fall, and armies die. The other side of the coin is that with the means and enough power, anything is possible.

If a Coalition has claimed one or more Power Station tiles, they can nominate a player in the Battle Phase to gain 1 requisition point. This can be done once per turn for each Power Station a Coalition controls.

Hive City

Towering spires. Deep sewers and maintenance tunnels. No place has as much manpower as these dense cities.

The first time a Hive City tile is claimed by any Coalition, the Coalition claiming it can nominate one of their players to immediately use the Repair and Recuperate or Fresh Recruits requisition. If they do, the cost of the requisition is reduced by 1.
