Why is so much of this website unfinished?
Most of the website is intended for convenience, and is not required for play. It will come along eventually, but there are more essential matters that need to be handled first. All you really need is the PDF and the weekly updated map. That said, I understand the PDF is big and unwieldy, even with bookmarks, which is why the rest of the website is also being made.
What are Coalitions?
Coalitions are essentially the teams that the players join in this campaign. You can either join the Imperium of Mankind, the Cults of Chaos, the Xenos Alliance or the Forces of the Destruction. That last one is largely just a group of competing teams induvidually fighting for the same thing.
To accomodate collections that have been kitbashed and flavoured to be something different than the rules used for them, such as traitor guardsmen, there is no restriction on what kind of army joins which coalition, as long as you can narratively justify it.
Can I only fight in my marching token's battles?
You can fight any conflict that involves any of the marching tokens of your coalition. The marching tokens represents the foot-soldiers doing the grunt work of exploring the planet and maintaining supply lines. Your crusade force are the elite troops that reinforce them when necessary.
Where is the attacker's deployment zone in the Drop Assault mission?
If you read the mission rules you will find that, with a few exceptions, the attacker's whole army starts in reserves, and does not have a deployment zone.
Can I march onto a Bridge tile from any adjacent tile?
No. You can only march onto a bridge tile on one of the two sides where the bridge visually connects to an adjacent tile. If you have a marching token on an adjacent tile that isn't visually connected to the bridge you will have to march to another tile that is before you can march on the bridge.
Can Epic Heroes get battle honours, battle scars, or enhancements?
No. As per the official crusade rules, units with the Epic Hero keyword cannot gain battle honours, battle scars, or enhancements.
Can I give my character units Enhancements?
Yes, by using the Renowned Heroes Requisition. Note that your enhancements are not limited by any detachment you choose.
What is the difference between crusade and campaign?
Crusade is the set of rules we use to play narrative battles where units can gain experience, battle scars, and etc.. Campaigns (typically managed by a Campaign Master) is when crusade battles are linked together with a set of rules to form an over-arching narrative.
What are Campaign Badges?
Campaign Badges are a way of tracking what campaigns a unit has partaken in! Once a unit finishes its first battle a Great Khan Hunt Campaign, it gains a campaign badge as described on page 12 of the Rules PDF.
